In 2019, I composed a Pas de Deux no. 1 for oboe and piano. It’s classically constructed, and about 6 minutes long. It’s a straight forward intermediate level work that any respectable professional could sight read. It’s a good study for students at the conservatory level. It works by itself and I image it as the first of 4 in a set.

This work is not commercially available, but if you’d like to play it through, sight read it, see it, perform it, email me at kathrynjpotter@gmail.com with subject Pas de Deux no.1 and request me to email you the PDF. Any love donation you wish to give in gratitude, may be given via the secure PayPal me link provided on the Oboe Brilliance website. This will help pay me for the time I spent composing it. Any amount is appreciated and needed.

I require financial funding and support to compose the rest of the set. So if you or anyone you know would like me to complete it - please consider making a contribution yourself or inspire someone who can help me, to help me. I am already donating much of my time to other projects right now … .such as the 73 progressive oboe étude project…. that said, if you are an oboist, feel free to generously share your ideas, needs, wishes and desires you feel the oboe world needs in a progressive set of oboe études. Now is the time to speak up! (I could use funding for that too!)

Marika Lombardi and Nathalie Dang did an excellent job performing Pas de Deux no. 1 on Sunday March 8th in Paris 2020 in the concert at the American Church celebrating women in music. It was well received, respected and appreciated. YAY. I long to contribute and offer what I can.
